About

After being married to a elementary teacher for the past eight plus years, if there is one thing I have learned, it is that my wife is constantly busy with her job.

Sure, she works from 8am to 3pm.
Sure, she gets all holidays off.
Sure, she gets a long summer break.

But, the reality is…

Wait a second, why am I explaining how hard my wife works?

I’m pretty sure if you are here and reading this, you know exactly what my wife goes through on a daily basis.

After watching my wife spend countless hours at her school setting up her classroom, grading papers, preparing lesson plans, cutting out laminations (actually that is usually my job), and worrying about what she is going to wear the next day, I realized…her time is pretty limited.

Oh yeah, throw in the five year old son (and his younger brother who is two years old) who is running amok around our house, and suddenly that time I thought she had, well that’s gone.

Somehow, I started thinking about it all, and I realized my wife probably isn’t the only teacher that feels like she doesn’t have a minute to do anything more than what is already on the plate.

So I started thinking to myself, what can I do to help out (other than cut laminated posters out)? and then it dawned on me…

Why don’t I do something for her class that I am actually good at and love doing?

And ever since I have started making playlists for her classroom, her students have absolutely loved it. They can’t get enough.

So my hope is that you take full advantage of the extra time I have and make the songs on this site a staple in your classroom.

  1. I just found your site through Pinterest and I am excited to try it out this year in my classroom. I am a fourth grade teacher who loves music but am not good with playlists. I thank you so much for your work. Good luck to you and your wife as she starts another teaching year!

  2. Thank you! This is my first year teaching and LOVE the variety of songs you have. This will save me hours of reading lyrics before playing songs in the classroom.
