It is official. The new website is up and running. Well, it really isn’t new but the URL is.
No more wordpress.com.
Hopefully this is much easier for everyone to remember. Plus it just sounds and looks better.
The good news is that all the Pins you guys have made on Pinterest will still direct you to the new site. And if your old bookmarks are showing the old URL (theclassroomdj.wordpress.com), it will auto redirect you to the new URL.
Ultimately, I can do a lot more things down the road with this site by having my own domain name. I have lots of ideas I want to implement and that was the first thing I needed to take care of.
Anyways, it has been quite awhile since I posted one of my SMART mixes, but now is as good a time as any. If you are into the indie scene of music as I am, then you will find yourself enjoying these 16 songs.
Featuring the artists below…
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Lumineers, Capital Cities, Young the Giant, Spoon, Glen Hansard, Cat Power, Passion Pit, Lana Del Rey, Florence & The Machine, Of Monsters & Men, The Decemberists, Gary Jules, MGMT, Death Cab For Cutie, Bright Eyes
If you have never heard of one of those artists above, no big deal. Odds are your students haven’t either and it will make listening to these songs a new experience for everyone. If you have heard of these groups, then hopefully you will recognize theses string remakes of their popular songs by the Vitamin String Quartet.
